“Red is the color of the root chakra (first chakra); it symbolizes safety, survival, grounding, nourishment from the Earth energy.” When both my grandparents passed away, I searched for ways to understand our time here better. I began reading about the chakras. I am no expert, but the idea of an energy that runs through each of us is one that I have always felt, like an instinct. When we are present when someone has passed on, we can feel that their energy has moved on. And later we sense that same energy; in a place, in a bird soaring above, in our children. I think of my grandparents every day... part of my root energy.
